5-1 Temporarily Houses Project

This project aims to find economical appropriate engineering solutions .

5-2 Qualifying and Training Project:

Engineers have a critical role to play in disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction, providing shelter, water supplies and sanitation. Since the most destruction and damages are in the infrastructure and buildings providing engineers with the skills needed is very important factor in the success of reconstruction process. So Diarna presents a comprehensive certified training program to engineers ,engineering offices and relevant agencies.

5-2-1 Project objectives

The main and the basic aim of the project is to train and qualify engineering offices and engineers in reconstruction. The program is based on the following sub-goals .

  • Identifying the fields and the training needs of the trainees.
  • Identifying the assignments and tasks needed to qualify the trainees.
  • Determining the technical standards which the training will be based on with relative weight to be accorded to each criterion .

5-2-2 Training Fields
The training program is divided into different fields each one is part of the reconstruction project. These fields are:

5-3 A project for reconstructing a Sustainable Residential District

The project aims to select a damaged district in one of the safe areas in Yemen and execute the project .The work in the project will be within a comprehensive integrated system based on the following steps:

  • Survey and damage assessment and costs of reconstruction.
  • Engineering studies and complete drawings to start the executive process
  • Creating spatial and temporal conditions for starting the project
  • Executing the project within a scheduled time .
  • Assessing the operational steps of the executive process and setting standards for the reconstruction project in the different governorates of the Republic.
